York Region Cop Got Caught? SIU Dropping the Tea 🚨

Okay, so listen up, fam. The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) – they're like the cops who watch the cops, ya feel? – was investigating some sus activity that allegedly went down with a York Regional Police officer back in December 2023 in Vaughan. Apparently, they got clued in February 2024 and started digging.

Now, this officer is facing some heavy charges: one count of sexual assault and one count of breach of trust under the Criminal Code. That's a major yikes.

Here's the tea: the SIU didn't drop this news right away 'cause they were worried about the mental health of the person involved. They didn't want to make things even harder, which is kinda thoughtful, tbh.

To keep things on the DL and protect the complainant, they're not dropping the officer's name, which is understandable. Gotta protect the people involved, no cap.

The officer already had their first court date June 24th in Newmarket. Next court date is September 16th. It's gonna be a minute before we know the full story.
