Windsor PD Had to Put Down a Doggo 😭

Okay, so boom. Last night in Windsor, Ontario, the police were called 'cause some dude on Tecumseh Road West was straight trippin'. Like, mental health crisis vibes. But here's where it gets messy. When the cops tried to cuff him, he went full-on aggro, throwing hands at one officer and straight-up threatening another. Big yikes.

The cops tried to chill him out with a taser, but nah, dude was not having it. He then allegedly told his dog – a pitbull mix – to attack the officers. And the dog? Listened. Bit at least one of the officers, which is def not the vibe.

After trying to de-escalate, the police had to make a tough call. They ended up shooting the dog. No cap, it's a sad situation all around. The 45-year-old dude got nicked under the Mental Health Act and is facing a whole list of charges. Assaulting a police officer, uttering threats, failing to comply – the works. No other injuries were reported, thankfully.

The whole thing is under investigation right now. The Windsor PD even hopped on X.com (aka Twitter) to drop some knowledge about what happened. If you saw anything, the Major Crimes Unit wants you to slide into their DMs or something. Stay safe out there, fam.
