Yo, fam. Real talk, B.C. is going through it rn. There's this major wildfire near Kelly Lake, and it's not playing games. We're talking about a blaze that's, like, 74 square kilometers big, and it's heading straight for Kelly Lake. The firefighters are out here doing the most, setting up sprinklers and all, but they're fighting a losing battle. Word is, the fire "cannot be contained," which is kinda terrifying, ngl.

The local officials are straight up telling people to leave, like, yesterday. They're not mincing words either, saying it could be "fatal" if people don't evacuate ASAP. Even the first responders might have to yeet themselves outta there if things get too spicy. Highway 52 East is closed, so if you're trying to escape, find another route.

The weather's being a whole hater too. They're predicting strong winds, like up to 70 km/h, which is gonna make the fire spread even faster. It's gonna be windy af on Friday, chill a bit on Saturday, then go right back to being extra on Sunday. Basically, the conditions are ripe for some "extreme fire behavior," which is not the vibe.

And it's not just this one fire, either. There's another "wildfire of note" at Summit Lake, which has already burned about 26 square kilometers. Plus, there's almost 70 wildfires active across B.C., and most of them are burning out of control. It's a whole mess, tbh.
