Yo, listen up! Fort St. John in B.C. is going through it rn. There's a whole wildfire situation popping off in the Fish Creek Community Forest, just outside the city. It's moving fast, and officials are saying it's out of control, covering like 56 hectares. This is not a drill, fam!

If you're chilling on Rose Prairie Road or in the Jones subdivision area, you gotta skedaddle to the Pomeroy Sport Centre. That's the spot where everyone's meeting up. Don't be late to the party, get there safe!

The BC Wildfire Service is already on the scene, along with crews from Fort St. John, Taylor, and Charlie Lake, tryna get this fire under control. They’re saying it’s sus that the cause of this fire is probably humans doing dumb stuff. Like, come on, people, be smarter than that!

And it's not just Fort St. John, BTW. Southern BC is high-key at risk 'cause it's warm, dry, and windy, making everything super flammable. There are like, two dozen other fires burning across BC rn, including one near Dawson Creek that's creeping towards Highway 52 North. That highway's only open to single-lane-alternating traffic rn.

Also, in Tumbler Ridge, a wildfire straight-up knocked out fiber optic connections, so telephone, cellphone, radio, and internet services are down. Big yikes!

The Forests Ministry is throwing out a major PSA: If you were thinking about having a bonfire, just don’t. Postpone any open burning because with these winds it's just asking for trouble. The Forests Minister said it's the time of year when human-caused wildfires are most likely, and most of them are, like, totally preventable. Let's keep B.C. safe and not do anything sus!
