Okay, so like, Friday night in West Central Saskatchewan? Total chaos. We're talking severe thunderstorms that were throwing hands, and Environment Canada was dropping tornado warnings like they were hot. Two of 'em, one for Coleville and another north of Luseland.

Cabri got absolutely cooked with fat hail and rain. Roads were covered, yards were looking like ice rinks, and there was some low-key flooding. Big yikes.

And if that wasn't enough, there was a whole *fire* near Provost, Alberta, at some oil battery site. They're thinking maybe lightning was the culprit. Fire crews rolled up and put that thing out, tho, so W for them.

The weather's still acting sus this weekend, so keep your eyes peeled for more warnings and advisories. Stay safe out there, fam!

Fentanyl Fight Update

In other news, the Fentanyl Czar, Kevin Brosseau, is stanning the government's new Strong Borders Act. Apparently, he thinks it's gonna help stop fentanyl from flooding into Canada. The bill's got all sorts of stuff in it, like giving border peeps more power to search stuff, stopping money laundering, and controlling the chemicals they use to make fentanyl.

Brosseau was like, "The US is vibing with our efforts to fight fentanyl," which is kinda good news. They're tryna team up to fix any problems with sharing info and stuff.

He also admitted that Canada's got its own fentanyl problem going on, with people making, selling, and using it right here. Sadly, like 21 people are dying *every day* because of this stuff. That’s grim, fr fr.

Some people are side-eyeing the border bill, tho. Civil libertarians and refugee peeps are saying it's kinda sus. But Brosseau is saying it’s all about a full send, hitting the supply hard and helping people recover. Ottawa and Washington are even teaming up for a "joint strike force" to take down the big crime groups.
