Okay, so listen up. A tourist from Toronto was just tryna chill in Vancouver when some dude decided to throw hands for absolutely no reason. Mid-April, she's walkin' along the Coal Harbour seawall, minding her business, when BAM! Random attack outta nowhere. She ended up with a broken nose, black eyes, the whole nine yards. She hopped on social media to spill the tea about what went down.

Turns out, the guy who allegedly did it, Peterhans Jalo Nungu, got arrested and charged with assault. But here's the wild part: he was ALREADY out on bail for allegedly attacking a peace officer in Surrey a couple days before! Like, seriously? Double sus. He was released with like, 10 conditions. No cap, you can't make this stuff up.

Now, his mom is saying that her son wasn't really himself before the attack, claiming he was in a "mentally ill condition" and that the fam even called the police for help. She said the family is devastated and he is now in a psychiatric hospital.

The victim gave all the deets about the attack. The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) shouted her out for being brave. Now, Nungu has to show up in court on May 20th in Vancouver. We'll see what happens.
