The Deets

Okay, fam, listen up. Some seriously messed up stuff went down near Thorndale Road and Cobble Hills Road in Thames Centre. On May 23, 2025, around 4:30 p.m., there was a major car crash involving two SUVs and a semi-truck. Straight up tragic.

Five people didn't make it, and it's hitting everyone hard. We're talking four high school students and a staff member from Walkerton District Community School (WDCS) in Bruce County. Also, a 33-year-old dude from one of the SUVs passed away in the hospital from his injuries. Another 16 year old female passed away in the hospital due to the severity of the injuries. The driver and passenger in the second SUV and the truck driver all got away with minor injuries, thankfully.

Emergency peeps were on the scene ASAP, but it was too late for some. The road was shut down for hours while they investigated. If you were in the area and have dashcam footage, the investigators are asking for it. Help them figure out what went down, for real.

The Bluewater District School Board (BWDSB) dropped a statement saying they're heartbroken and offering mad support to everyone affected. This is a major blow for the whole community. Keep the victims, their families, and the school in your thoughts, y'all.
