Toronto PD says some of the protesters turned up the heat and started throwing hands at the officers. Like, straight-up assaulting them while resisting arrest. So, the cops were like, "Aight, bet" and cuffed 11 people.
Turns out, one of the suspects was already on their radar for allegedly breaking into a Toronto MP's office back in April. Apparently, there was a whole demonstration outside the office, and some people forced their way inside, allegedly scaring the staff. Talk about extra!
The 32-year-old, Ahlam Mohammed from Toronto, got hit with extra charges for that April incident, including forcible entry, mischief, and unlawful assembly. It's a whole mess, fam.
