Okay, fam, listen up! Tim Hortons is hitting us with the feels 'cause they're raising coffee prices. Like, for the first time in three years! They're saying it's "more than reasonable," but is it really? 👀

Apparently, coffee bean prices have been going off – doubling in the past three years. We're talking a jump from like, C$2.21 to C$5.45 per pound. That's gotta sting. Timmy's says it's only gonna be an extra three cents per cup, but those cents add up, ya know?

And it's not just Tim's, BTW. Grocery store coffee prices are straight-up flexing on us, up 27.9% from last year. What is this, a robbery?!

Canada gets most of its coffee from Colombia, but also Brazil, Mexico, Peru, and Central America. The coffee trade was worth over $1.3 billion in July, with a wild 131 million kilograms of unroasted coffee imported. That's a lotta beans!

The real tea? The U.S. hit Brazil with tariffs, and Canada clapped back with its own tariffs on the U.S. So, basically, trade wars are messing with our coffee runs.

And FYI, food prices in general are on the rise, up 3.5% in August. Inflation is real, and our wallets are feeling it. Loblaw's also said coffee prices are close to their 2025 high, blaming those tariffs and Brazilian coffee growers being extra cautious. So yeah, brace yourselves for some pricier brews, y'all. 💸
