The Deets
Okay, so listen up. Back in September 2020, Megan Gallagher dipped, and now we're finding out some seriously sus stuff. This dude Roderick Sutherland is on trial for manslaughter, unlawful confinement, and being disrespectful to her remains (yikes!). He's pleading "not guilty," but here's where it gets wild...
Sutherland told the police that his garage was used to end Megan's life. Apparently, his friend Robert "Bobby" Thomas asked to use his garage to "question" her, and Megan was there with some other people. He came back later and she was covered in a tarp.
He claims he didn't even clock that it was Megan until later. Allegedly, her body was then put in a truck and yeeted off a bridge near St. Louis, Sask. Sutherland says he wasn't even there for that part. Major yikes.
The lead detective, Sgt. Anthony Boemsch, interviewed Sutherland. Boemsch reassured him about his safety and said Sutherland was initially a witness but later became a suspect. About 10 months later Sutherland was booked with those charges.
But wait, there's more! This ain't no solo mission. NINE people have been charged in connection with Megan's death. Sutherland is the last one standing trial. So, the trial is still going on. Stay tuned for more, fam, cause this is gonna be a long one!
Sutherland even told police that he didn't see any blood in the garage or anything. His defense is gonna be interesting, that's for sure!
Sutherland explained he contacted his sister and brother-in-law after finding Gallagher in his garage. His brother-in-law allegedly told him he would "take care of it" and requested gas money, which was provided.
