Alright, fam, listen up. So, on April 15th, this tourist from Toronto was vibing near Stanley Park when BAM! She gets attacked. The dude they're saying did it is named Peterhans Jalo Nungu, and he's facing some serious charges – assault causing bodily harm. Like, that's not a good look, at all.
But here's where it gets even wilder. Turns out, Nungu was ALREADY on interim release for allegedly clocking a peace officer in Surrey. Double sus, right? And even crazier he was released on bail just eight days later with house arrest with his mom, no drugs, alcohol, or weapons and a psychiatric assessment.

Vancouver PD is saying they didn't drop the news earlier 'cause they had the suspect in custody, and they thought everyone was safe. Okay, but still... feels like they could've kept us in the loop, right?
