Ajax just had a major plot twist! Dude tried to finesse a car with a shank, but the driver dipped. Cops were on his tail, and Air1 was watching from the sky. Ended with a footrace and cuffs. This Nidhish Mathisudan kid is facing some serious heat.
The Real Deal
Okay, so boom, listen up. Over in Ajax, things got kinda spicy. This 19-year-old dude, Nidhish Mathisudan, allegedly rolled up on someone near Salem Road and Williamson Drive East tryna pull off a carjacking. We're talking full-on villain mode - weapon drawn and everything.
But here's where it gets interesting: the driver wasn't having it. They bounced faster than you can say "skrrt," leaving the would-be car thief empty-handed.
The cops got the call and flooded the area. We're talking Durham Police, K9 units, the Tactical Support Unit, and even Air1 β the police helicopter was out here playing big brother. The chase was on!
Air1 spotted a sus character, and the cops were like, "Bet." After a quick foot pursuit β which, BTW, there's video footage of, so you know it's legit β they caught up with Nidhish and slapped the cuffs on him. They even found a knife they think was used in the whole shebang.
Thankfully, the driver didn't catch any physical damage during the whole ordeal.
Now, Nidhish is looking at some serious charges, including robbery, possession of a weapon for committing an offence, obstructing a police officer, and failure to comply with a release order. Major L.
The cops are still piecing everything together, so if you saw anything or have any tea, hit up Det. Kerr from the Robbery Unit. Don't be a bystander, fam!
