Listen up, fam. This tea is piping hot. Back on January 27, 2018, Kalwinder Thind, a 23-year-old nightclub promoter, was straight-up vibin' at Cabana Lounge in Vancouver. Then things got mad sus. Some beef started inside, and it spilled out onto the street, no cap.
Apparently, two groups were throwin' hands, and Kalwinder tried to step in and play peacekeeper. Big mistake. He ended up getting stabbed, and sadly, he didn't make it. Major L.
Fast forward to May 28, 2025, Sukhjit Sidhu, who's 28, just got hit with a second-degree murder charge for the whole thing. Vancouver PD did their homework, collected receipts (aka video evidence), and finally caught their guy. It took them a minute, but they got there.
Sidhu already had his bail hearing on May 28th, and his next court date is June 25th. The investigation was hella thorough, with the police asking for anyone who saw anything or had video footage to come forward. It's a sad situation all around, fr. RIP to Kalwinder. 🙏
