TL:DR

Okay, so listen up: the RCMP just yeeted four peeps for allegedly plotting some wild terrorist stuff. Turns out, two of 'em were active military, and the other two were sus-ly connected. They were supposedly tryna overthrow the government with, like, an arsenal of weapons and some serious "accelerationist" vibes. The whole thing started way back in 2021, but the Mounties finally shut it down. Get this – they were scheming to snatch up land in Quebec. Major yikes!

The Deets

Bruh, this is some serious tea. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) straight-up arrested four individuals on Tuesday, July 8th (of whatever year), for allegedly plotting terrorism and other crimes. Two of the suspects were confirmed to be serving members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), while the other two had some kinda connection to the CAF.

Turns out, these guys were motivated by some "accelerationist" thinking, which is basically code for wanting to overthrow the government with, like, violence. And get this, it's rooted in white supremacist ideology. Big yikes!

So, what were they planning? Apparently, they wanted to forcibly seize land in the Quebec City area. They even had an Instagram account to spread their message and try to recruit new members, especially those with weapons training. They managed to stockpile a crazy amount of firearms and ammunition, too.

The RCMP investigation started way back in the spring of 2023, even though some of their activities date back to 2021. They seized a whole cache of armaments in January of 2024, and then finally made the arrests several months later.

And speaking of weapons, check this loot: sixteen explosive devices, eighty-three firearms and accessories, around 11,000 rounds of ammunition, almost 130 weapons magazines, four pairs of night-vision goggles, and other military-grade equipment. Like, what?!

This whole thing raises some serious questions, tho. Like, why did the investigation take so long? And how did this extremist ideology manage to take hold within the CAF? Some are even saying it's linked to US-style militia groups and those anti-authority vibes.

The RCMP spokesperson said that they aren't planning any more arrests at this time. But honestly, this whole situation is sus. It could seriously damage the CAF's reputation and make it harder to recruit new members, especially when they're trying to meet those NATO requirements and beef up their ranks.
