The Deets

Okay, fam, lemme spill the tea. Early Wednesday morning, like 2:30 a.m. early, the RCMP got a 911 call 'bout a dude buggin' out near No. 4 Road and Westminster Highway in Richmond. Turns out this wasn't just a regular mental breakdown situation. This guy was straight up acting sus.

When the cops rolled up, things escalated QUICK. This dude allegedly pulls out an air gun (💀) and then, get this, stabs the police dog. Like, who does that?! The poor doggo took multiple hits but is thankfully stable after getting some emergency vet love. Big ups to the vets, fr fr!

Richmond RCMP locked down the area with backup from the Lower Mainland Integrated Emergency Response Team. They finally got the dude into custody around 7:35 a.m. after a whole standoff. Westminster Highway was closed during rush hour, which was a major L for commuters, but it's back open now, so all good.
