Sask RCMP Stats: Homicide Rates Dropped in '25, But '24 Was a Whole Mess 💀📉

Alright, fam, listen up. The Saskatchewan RCMP just spilled the tea on homicide stats. In 2024, things were straight-up bussin' – but in a bad way. They had a record 39 homicide files with 41 victims. That's a 26% jump in cases and a 32% spike in victims compared to '23. Big yikes. It was a whole mess, no cap.

But, here's the plot twist: 2025 is looking a little less sus. From January 1 to July 15, they only had 13 homicide files with 13 victims. Still not great, obviously, but a major glow-up from last year. They're still investigating four of those cases, but nine have been solved, which is a W.

The RCMP's clearance rate is pretty fire, tho. Over the past decade, they've solved 85% of their homicide cases, which is way higher than the national average. They're out here doing the work, fr fr. It only includes what they're working on, and doesn't include municipal offices.

They also teamed up with File Hills First Nations Police Service on a few cases in 2025, involving five victims, and those are closed now. They're making it clear that they don't stop till they solve the case.
