Okay, fam, listen up. So, there was this nurse at Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital in Saskatoon, right? Turns out, she was pulling a major sus move by hopping into the medical records of like, 314 people without permission. Like, who does that?!

Apparently, this went down while she was on leave, which makes it even weirder. They caught her in December 2021, but she wasn't fired until March 2024. The Privacy breach was reported in August 2024. That’s a long time to wait to cancel someone!

The privacy commissioner is not happy about it either. They said the health authority took way too long to tell everyone about the breach and didn't do enough to keep it from happening in the first place. Now they're telling the health authority to get their act together with better training and audits.

The nurse was like, "I needed the info for file handoffs," but then she admitted she didn't actually need to be in those charts. Sketchy, right?
