Okay, so, Saskatchewan is having a whole moment rn. Wildfires are spreading faster than gossip in the group chat, and it's not a vibe. The Ramsey Bay subdivision just got the "pack your bags and skedaddle" text 'cause of a fast-moving fire. If you're in the area, hit up the muster point ASAP, no cap.

And it's not just Ramsey Bay. As of Friday afternoon, there were like, 16 active fires, and only 3 are contained. The wind is being extra sus, making it super hard to get these fires under control.

The smoke is THICK – like, can't-see-your-hand-in-front-of-your-face thick. Environment and Climate Change Canada dropped some air quality warnings, so if you're in the area, maybe rock a mask or something. Stay safe, fam!

Things got so real that Premier Scott Moe had to pull the ultimate card and declare a province-wide state of emergency. That thing is in effect for 30 days, but could get extended. Basically, the whole province is on high alert.

Even Hudbay Minerals is feeling the heat, literally. They're evacuating non-essential staff from their Flin Flon site, and there are over 17,000 residents who have evacuated, including 6,000 in and around Flin Flon. Wildfires are wreaking havoc, impacting production and exploration activities. But props to Hudbay, they're sending emergency staff to help fight the fires and finding places for everyone to crash.
