The Deets
Aight, listen up, fam. Last Saturday, just before midnight, things got real sus in Lower Sackville on Hillside Avenue. Apparently, four masked youths decided to pull up to a random house where a bunch of other youths were just chilling, right? Big yikes.
These dudes weren't playing games either. They stormed in, allegedly fired a pellet gun (like, what?!), and started throwing hands. As if that wasn't enough, they even dropped some kinda sensory irritant on the driveway while dipping out. Straight outta a movie, tbh.
The result? A whole mess. Several youths inside the house ended up with injuries, but thankfully, they weren't life-threatening. EHS (aka the ambulance squad) came through and patched them up, so that’s a W. But a resident was also affected by the irritant.
But the cops weren't having it. They showed up quick and started hunting these fools down. With the help of the Halifax Regional Police Dog Services (shoutout to the K-9 unit!) and an RCMP drone (tech is wild, fr), they managed to ID four persons of interest pretty fast. They rolled up to a crib on Alder Crescent and bagged two of the suspects. They got released on conditions and they will have to face court. Authorities executed a search warrant at the crib and are still tryna piece together what exactly happened and why these youths decided to go full-on chaotic.
The cops are saying this wasn't just some random thing either, so there might be some beef or something behind it all.
