Spilling the Tea

So, boom! There's this Rotarian, Dan Paarsmarkt, and he just did the most. He biked 1,600 kilometers across Alberta.

Why, you ask? To raise that bread 💸 and awareness to finally say "bye Felicia" to Polio. It's called "Pedalling For Polio," how clever is that?

This dude was cycling like a machine, doing 130-140 km a day, burning 6,500-7,000 cals! He was fueled by pure vibes. The finish line was June 17th in Cochrane, with a whole party at the Cochrane Rotary Club.

But hold up, it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. Paarsmarkt had to deal with smoke from wildfires 🔥, hella horse flies 🦟, and road closures🚧 that were trying to cockblock his journey. But did he stop? Nah! He powered through with the help of other Rotarians and his support squad.

The real tea? Rotary International is the OG when it comes to yeeting Polio. They've been at it for over 35 years, chucking in over $2.1 billion! Now, there are only 12 reported cases in the world.
