Roads Be Acting Sus: 120+ Car Crashes in Eastern Ontario 💀

Okay, so peep this: Environment Canada dropped a snow warning for Ottawa, saying we were gonna get 10-20 cm of that white stuff, maybe even some icy rain. Turns out, they were right, and it was a whole vibe... a bad one.

Between noon and 4 PM, the OPP (that's Ontario Provincial Police, for you newbies) had to deal with OVER 120 car crashes in Eastern Ontario. The roads were slicker than a freshly Zamboni'd ice rink, and cars and trucks were straight-up sliding everywhere. Some of the crashes were multi-car pileups, which is a major L.

The good news? No one kicked the bucket, and the injuries weren't life-threatening, so that's a W. But still, drive safe out there, folks. The OPP is saying to slow your roll, keep your distance, and avoid any sudden moves. Basically, drive like your grandma is in the passenger seat with a bowl of soup.

Highway 417 and Highway 401 had some temporary lane closures, so def keep an eye on the traffic reports before you head out. And BTW, snow is gonna keep falling all week, so this ain't a one-time thing.

But wait, there's more! Chris d’Entremont, this MP from Acadie-Annapolis, pulled a sneaky and switched from Conservative to Liberal. He said he bounced after the 2025 budget dropped because he saw a “better path forward.”

Now the RCMP is investigating threats made online. It sounds like people are BIG mad that he switched teams, and they're letting him know it in some seriously sus ways. The investigation is still ongoing, so we'll have to wait and see how this plays out, no cap.
