The tea is, they were in rough shape - like, seriously underweight and dehydrated. Some were even in critical condition, which is a major L.

Apparently, the owner, who was in the Thompson-Nicola region, was trying to re-home the accidental litter but couldn't handle it. They did the right thing and contacted animal control and then surrendered the pups to the BC SPCA. Props to them for realizing they needed help, even if it was a bit late.

Now, the good news! The BC SPCA is working their magic. The puppies are getting subcutaneous fluids, which sounds kinda sci-fi, but it's just to rehydrate them. They're also on a monitored re-feeding plan to get them back to a healthy weight. Plus, they're getting treated for parasites and their dental health, cause that was a mess too.

Despite all the drama, these pups are total sweethearts. They're loving people, vibing with playtime, and some even enjoy swimming! One little guy named Checkers was the smallest and weakest, but he's showing mad improvement and giving all the love. What a king!
