Then you got the Shoe fire, which is a whole THING. It's 407,956 hectares, uncontained, and dealing with 80 km/h winds. Imagine the chaos! Other fires like the Jaysmith, Wolf, Club, Pelican2, and Ditch02 are also causing major headaches, impacting communities and causing highway closures.

Manitoba's got it rough too. All 5,000 residents of Flin Flon had to evacuate, seeking shelter in Brandon, The Pas, and Winnipeg. Hotels in Winnipeg are opening up to house the evacuees. The premier said about 1,000 hotel rooms will be available. They're hoping for cooler temps and some rain to give the firefighters a W. New water bombers are on order, but they won't be here for a minute. First Nations leaders are calling on the government to prioritize evacuees, which is the least they can do, tbh.

Alberta's not chillin' either. They've evacuated nearly 5,000 people and have 26 out-of-control fires. Shifting wind conditions are making it even harder to handle. The premier mentioned an awareness campaign to reduce human-caused wildfires, which is kinda sus, but necessary.
