Okay, fam, listen up! Ottawa might be about to level up the summer vibes. They're talkin' 'bout doin' this pilot project where you can actually drink alcoholic beverages in certain parks. Like, imagine chillin' with your crew and sippin' on something refreshing? 👀

But hold up, it's not a free-for-all. The city councillors gotta pick the parks, and they're gonna ask the community what's good. Plus, there's gonna be rules. Like, you can only drink between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. (or whatever hours they decide). And def no boozing near the playground or sports field. That's a big no-no.

And peep this: Bylaw Services is gonna have a whole squad of 20 summer students patrolling the parks, ready to hit you with a ticket if you're not playing by the rules. Apparently, they got 42 calls about people drinking in parks already this year, and handed out 10 tickets. So, they're not messin' around.

Now, here's where it gets a little sus. Both the Ottawa Police Service and Ottawa Public Health are kinda worried about this whole thing. They're probably thinkin' it's gonna cause more problems. 🤷‍♀️
