Okay, so listen up, fam. This couple, Jeremy Alexander and Ryan Sheepwash, from Okanagan, were planning their wedding in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. They wanted to do it big at the Sheraton Buganvilias Resort and Convention Centre, but things got real sus, real quick.

Basically, they hit up the resort for a quote on 30 rooms for three nights, and the resort came back with a price tag of $970 USD per night, totaling $72,750 USD, with a deposit of $36,375 USD. They wanted a wedding in March 2027. But here's where it gets real messy: a straight couple asked for the same thing, and the resort offered them $424 USD per night with a deposit of $1,700 and offered multiple dates in 2026.

The couple dropped a video on socials calling out the resort. They are like, "Bruh, this ain't it. We need Sheraton and Marriott International (who owns Sheraton) to get their act together and treat everyone the same, no cap."

Turns out, this ain't the first time this resort's been caught lacking. Back in 2019, they straight-up denied a same-sex couple's wedding. Marriott apologized then, but clearly, they ain't learned their lesson.

Marriott's spokesperson was all like, "The resort is part of the LGBTQ community in Puerto Vallarta tho". But the resort's rep called the couple, offering an apology and saying they're investigating the sitch.

As for Jeremy and Ryan? They are tryna find a new venue.
