Alright, fam, listen up 'cause this is a plot twist NO ONE saw coming. So, Pierre Poilievre, the Conservative Party leader - like, the main character - just got straight-up BEAT in Carleton by this Liberal guy named Bruce Fanjoy. Yeah, I'm just as shook as you are.

Apparently, the election results were slower than my grandma trying to use TikTok, something about "longest ballot fiasco." But when the numbers finally dropped, it turned out Bruce, this first-time candidate, SNATCHED the win from Pierre. Pierre has held that seat since 2004; some say it's a CONSERVATIVE STRONGHOLD. Talk about an upset!

So, what's Bruce's secret sauce? Word is he was all about being there for the people, especially farmers and businesses stressed about energy costs. Plus, he was talkin' about protecting Canadian sovereignty, whatever that means to your parents. Apparently, he had volunteers, some who even voted Conservative before. Bruce's party POPPED off at the Manotick Legion. They were screaming when the first numbers came in.

Now, Pierre, bless his heart, wanted to hold the government accountable and all that. He even tried to soften up his image but that didn't work out. But it seems some folks in Carleton were just craving a change. This loss makes him the first Conservative leader since '93 to not even win his own seat which is not a good look, period.

After Trudeau left as Prime Minister, and with that trade war that Trump started, it had been going up and down. Poilievre's lead started to fall.

The election ended a 2 a.m. Fanjoy's victory was declared at 4 a.m.

Poilievre said that he would stay as leader of his party. Supporters were sad.
