Aight, listen up, besties! OC Transpo ain't messin' around. They just dropped the hammer on all the clout chasers dodgin' fares. We're talkin' 2,531 tickets slapped on peeps between January and May 31st. That's a whole lotta paper, and it racked up $177,636 in straight-up revenue for the city. For real, that's a come up.

Each ticket? A hefty $260. So if you're thinkin' 'bout skippin' that fare, think again, cuz they’re watching fr fr.

The spots where they be lurkin' the most? Hurdman Station is peak sus with 687 tickets issued, followed by Rideau Station clockin' in at 500, and St. Laurent Station pullin' up in third place with 348 tickets. Basically, if you tryna get away with not payin', those are the spots to avoid. Low key, just pay the fare.

But hey, it ain't all bad news. Ridership's been up in January, March, and April of 2025 compared to last year. People are actually usin' the buses and O-Train, which is kinda bussin'. We talkin' 25 million passengers in the first four months alone, with May throwin' in 5.9 million trips. January and March? Both hit 6.6 million trips. Big W.

Now, for the L's. Apparently, OC Transpo only provided 98% of the planned bus trips in May, which is below their goal of 99.5%. Route 6 was ghostin' with 319 cancelled trips, Route 12 with 261, and Route 14 with 203.

The O-Train, though, mostly kept it 100. Line 1 was smooth sailin' with 99.4% service delivery in May, while Lines 2 and 4 still vibin' with 98.6% of planned trips delivered.

And here’s some wild tea: way fewer drivers got caught by red light and photo radar cameras this year. Only 29 infractions issued through the automated speed enforcement program in the first four months. OC Transpo buses copped 15 red light camera tickets in the same period. Stay safe out there!
