Yo, what is up, fam? New Brunswick is straight-up on fire rn. We're talkin' 30 active wildfires, and six of them are completely off the rails. Like, they're doing their own thing with no chill. For real, these fires are no joke. Some started early August, they are still burning, and are now over 1,400 hectares. Wild.

The worst of the worst is hittin' the Miramichi area. The air quality? Sketchy AF. An air quality statement has been issued by Enviro Canada. If you're in the Miramichi area, the city wants you to register for Voyent Alerts for real-time updates, so you know what's up. Plus, they're begging everyone to conserve water. No car washes, water your lawn, or fill your pools unless you want to be canceled. Just sayin'!

Lavillette is under an evacuation advisory, so get your go-bags ready. That means water, snacks, flashlights, first aid, masks, and meds. And don't forget about your pets!

Oh, and BTW: All Crown lands are closed. Hiking, camping, fishing and anything to do with vehicles in the woods or forestry operations are a NO GO. Trails are shut too. These restrictions are a must, so that means no hiking, camping, fishing, or any vehicle shenanigans in the woods.

Also, the fires are pushing wildlife into spots where they usually don't be. So if you see a random moose chilling in your backyard, don't approach it or try to give it snacks. Just call the DNR.
