Aight, listen up, fam. This is some wild stuff. So, you know about MK-Ultra, right? If not, it was basically this super shady government thing where they were tryna figure out mind control. And how'd they do it? By experimenting on people, duh. We talking electroshocks and droppin' LSD like it's candy 💊. No cap.

Well, the people who survived that mess are PISSED (and rightfully so). They're tryna get a judge to approve a class-action lawsuit so they can sue the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) and the Canadian government for all the trauma they went through.

We're talkin' serious allegations of abuse. One survivor, Lana Dean Ponting, said she's still dealin' with memory loss and all sorts of problems from the experiments. Julie Tanny mentioned her father suffered permanent mental health damage. Like, imagine going through that?!

Apparently, the CIA was sponsorin' this whole operation, and the Canadian government was throwin' money at it. It was this researcher at McGill University, Donald Ewen Cameron, who was runnin' the show.

Now, the MUHC and the Canadian government are tryna say the survivors waited too long to sue, which is kinda sus if you ask me. Some survivors got offered settlements way back in the 90s, but that was without anyone admitting they did anything wrong.
