MB Wildfires Are Straight-Up HUGE 🌲🔥

Okay, so listen up, because this is wild. Manitoba is currently battling some seriously massive wildfires. Like, we're talking multiple fires combining to become approximately seven times the size of Winnipeg. Yes, you heard that right, SEVEN TIMES. That's a lot of real estate, fam.

The main culprit is this fire called WE017, located near Sherridon. As of May 27th, it was already a whopping 307,781 hectares and totally out of control. And guess what? It linked up with another fire, WE024, which was chilling near Flin Flon. Now they're one mega-fire, and the province is reporting their combined size.

But wait, there's more! Another fire, EA061, is also causing chaos. This one is roughly five times the size of Winnipeg, stretching from Bird River to Bissett. The Manitoba Wildfire Service is juggling 28 active wildfires RN. It's a straight-up disaster movie out here.

Because of all this, several communities are under mandatory evacuation. We're talking Bissett, Nopiming Provincial Park, Snow Lake, and a whole bunch of other places. The fire danger is low-to-moderate in most areas, but high-to-extreme in the northeast. Basically, the whole province is in a state of emergency with major fire and travel restrictions.

No cap, this is some serious stuff. Backcountry travel is banned without a permit, and there's a full burn ban in place. Even roads are getting closed, like PR 315.
