Alright, listen up, fam! So, the tea is that Mark Carney, our Prime Minister, went straight to the Oval Office to chat with Donald Trump. And, like, Trump was out here suggesting Canada should just become part of the U.S., straight up calling it the "51st state." Can you even?

But Carney wasn't having it. He hit back with a "Nah, fam, Canada is not for sale." Like, period. End of discussion. He made it crystal clear that we're staying independent, no cap.

They also got into it about trade. Carney was all about keeping the United States-Mexico-Canada trade agreement (USCMA) going strong, but Trump seemed sus about the whole thing, even hinting at maybe ending it. And he's still on about those tariffs on Canadian goods, saying it's all to try and end trade.

Trump even tried to say the U.S. is subsidizing Canada, which is total BS. He's confusing a trade deficit with an actual subsidy, which is kinda cringe.

On the real though, Carney did say Canada's gonna step up its military game and help out with fighting fentanyl trafficking, so that's a W. Even though they clashed on a bunch of stuff, they both agreed they're still friends and need to keep talking. So, fingers crossed they can sort things out, ya feel?
