But here's the tea: they are seriously lacking the gear to even fight these fires. We're talking, like, one fire truck for an entire community type beat. It's giving major L vibes.

Pimicikamak Cree Nation is rolling with a single fire truck, while Mathias Colomb Cree Nation is out here trying to do the most with two fire trucks and straight-up garden hoses. Garden hoses, y'all! The fire near Mathias Colomb is already HUGE – like, 10,000 hectares huge – and the Pimicikamak fire is sitting at around 3,300 hectares. Both are completely out of control. It's not bussin.

Now, First Nations leaders are calling on the government to step up and provide the resources they desperately need. They need equipment, support, and everything else to protect their communities and get people back home safe. It's time for the feds and province to get their act together, for real.
