Yo, what's poppin? Things are looking kinda sus in Manitoba and Alberta. Wildfires are raging, and it's not just a little bit of smoke. We're talking full-blown evacuation vibes, especially for our First Nations peoples.

Manitoba Wildfires: It's Giving Apocalypse

In Manitoba, the fires are hitting the First Nations hard. Peguis First Nation had to declare a whole state of emergency. To make matters worse, they straight up banned ATVs and off-road vehicles. If you get caught, the RCMP finna hit you with a fine. No cap.

The Bracken Dam area in Opaskwayak Cree Nation is telling everyone to bounce ASAP. But for the residents of Big Eddy and Carrot River, you can go back home, but stay woke. If you're still sketched out, you can chill at the veterans hall and G.L.M.C. for the time being.

Alberta Wildfires: County in Crisis

Over in Alberta, Sturgeon County is dealing with a major wildfire in the Redwater Provincial Recreation Area. This thing started on Saturday, and by Sunday, they had to declare a local state of emergency. The fire is eating up everything from Range Road 205 to Victoria Trail and Township Road 574 to Range Road 203. Like, 110 hectares have already turned to ash.

And here's the tea: one house is gone. Reduced to rubble. They did manage to move a whole herd of cattle outta there, so at least there's that W. Residents are currently under evacuation notice, so if you're in the area, stay frosty.

More Fires, More Problems

But wait, there's more! Alberta is basically the "This is fine" meme rn. There were other wildfires reported in Rockyview County, near Sundre, and two near Frog Lake First Nation. And the County of Grande Prairie? Yeah, they're under an evacuation alert too.

The town of Redwater is doing everything they can to protect their buildings with fire suppression systems. Meanwhile, the RCMP out in Sturgeon County are out here directing traffic, telling residents to evacuate, and generally trying to keep the peace. Major props to those emergency crews trying to get these fires under control.
