Alright, so here's the sitch. York police are investigating some historical stuff involving Karen Spence, a 64-year-old who used to be a Girl Guides of Canada leader. She's been hit with three counts each of sexual assault and sexual exploitation of a young person. Yeah, it's heavy.

Apparently, this all allegedly went down between January 1998 and September 2002. The victim was still a kid back then, under 16. And Spence? She was 38 when this allegedly started. She was a leader in the Georgina area from '95 to '01, holding it down as a Sparks and Pathfinders leader. And get this, she was also coaching youth hockey and reffing games.

The investigation kicked off in March 2025 after the victim came forward. The charges were officially laid on April 21, 2025. Now, the cops are saying they think there might be more victims out there. So, if you know anything, they're begging you to hit up the Special Victims Unit. They're reminding everyone that there's no time limit on reporting sexual assault, which is major key.
