Major L: Rockslide in Banff, One Gone 💔🏔️

Okay, listen up, this ain't it. There was a major rockslide near Bow Glacier Falls in Banff National Park. We're talking serious stuff – like, one hiker sadly passed away. Others were injured, and they're working overtime to make sure everyone's accounted for.

The rescue teams, including Canada Task Force Two (CAN-TF2), park peeps, and the RCMP, are pulling out all the stops to search for anyone still missing. They're using drones, search dogs, the whole shebang. Even had to bring in a geotechnical engineer to check if the slopes are still chill, yikes!

Bow Lake is officially canceled – closed to everyone. And they've got a no-fly zone in place too (NOTAM). Plus, heavy snow's on the way, making everything even more sus.

Word is one of the hikers from the Slow & Steady Hikers group didn't make it, and another broke their arm. The RCMP is hitting up next of kin, which is never a vibe. Alberta Premier Danielle Smith, Federal Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre, and Federal Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault sent their condolences.
