Major L: Rockslide in Banff National Park Sends Hikers to the Hospital 🤕🏔️

Okay, fam, listen up. There was a whole rockslide situation near Bow Glacier Falls in Banff National Park. Like, rocks falling everywhere. Sadly, some hikers got caught in the mix, and we're hearing it was pretty gnarly. RCMP confirmed they sustained "serious injuries," which is a major L.

Emergency crews, including Parks Canada visitor safety squad, Alberta RCMP, STARS Air Ambulance, and firefighters from Lake Louise, are all on the scene trying to help out. Two STARS helicopters were dispatched, so you know it's serious. They're working overtime to get everyone to safety and assess the damage.

The incident went down about 37 kilometers north of Lake Louise on the Icefields Parkway (Highway 93N), so if you're planning on heading that way, might wanna reroute. They're expecting to shut down parts of the Icefields Parkway near Bow Lake temporarily to give the emergency crews room to do their thing. Parks Canada is telling everyone to stay away from the area for now, which is probably a good call.
