The Deets

Alright, fam, listen up. Friday was a whole tragedy in Middlesex County. Around 4:30 p.m., there was a multi-vehicle collision at Thorndale Road and Cobble Hills Road in Thames Centre. We're talking two SUVs and a whole-ass transport truck.

The result? Straight up heartbreaking. Five people passed away. Four of them were high school students from Walkerton District Community School (WDCS) in Bruce County. There was also a staff member from the school who didn't make it. And to make it even worse, a 33-year-old also died after being rushed to the hospital. That's a whole lotta L's in one go.

The peeps in the other SUV and the truck driver got away with minor injuries, thankfully. But the cops shut down the road for hours to investigate. They're asking anyone who was in the area and might have dashcam footage to hit them up ASAP. Every little bit helps find out what really happened.

The Bluewater District School Board (BWDSB) dropped a statement saying how shook they are and offering all kinds of support to the students and staff at WDCS. Mental health resources are available, and they're asking everyone to respect the privacy of the families who are going through it right now. Ontario's Premier also sent his condolences.

Road 84/Thorndale Road was closed from Cobble Hills Road to Heritage Road for a minute but it has since reopened. Police are on it to figure out what caused this mess. If you saw anything, holla at them.

Let's keep those who passed and their families in our thoughts, fam. This is some real stuff, and they need all the love and support they can get right now. ๐Ÿ™
