Okay, fam, listen up. This is kinda messed up. Eleven cows were found dead on a logging road in the B.C. Cariboo, like, straight-up gone. The vibe is that they got got by nitrate poisoning. Turns out they munched on some fertilizer that's used to help the trees grow. Big yikes.

Apparently, the fertilizer was dropped earlier in the year than usual, and it was just chillin' in piles near the road. The cows, being the snacky queens they are, probably thought it was a free buffet. But nah, it was a one-way ticket to the afterlife, iykyk.

The B.C. Forests Ministry and forestry range branch officers are all over it, trying to figure out what went wrong and how to keep it from happening again. The company that spread the fertilizer is also getting grilled and has taken steps to block the fertilizer, but the damage is done. Each cow was worth like $6k-$7k, so the rancher is seriously feeling the L.
