The Deets

Yo, listen up, cuz this is some serious stuff. The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) just had a major W, but for real, it's a big W for everyone in NL. They seized a CRAZY amount of drugs, enough fentanyl to, like, send half the province to the shadow realm. No cap!

We're talking over 500 grams of fentanyl, plus over 950 grams of coke, 300 grams of crystal meth, and over 2,000 prescription pills. Oh, and they also found some carfentanil and Xylazine (that "Benzo-dope" stuff). All this was being cooked up in a SECRET drug lab HIDDEN inside a camping trailer. Sketchy AF, right?

But wait, there's more. They also found a .22 caliber handgun and a .22 caliber semi-automatic rifle (both LOADED), plus two replica handguns. Like, what is this, a movie? 😳

Three people got nicked: Emma Murphy (24), Martin Marks (29), and Chris Somerton (27). Murphy and Marks are looking at like, 85 charges related to cooking up the drugs, having them, selling them, and the weapons. Somerton got hit with trafficking, possession with intent to sell, and having stuff he got from doing crimes. The police are saying that the fentanyl probably got shipped in from somewhere else in North America and then made into other drugs here, and the different colors were like the manufacturer's "personal stamp."

The RNC announced all this on May 7, 2025, after they got the test results back on the drugs. Let's hope this bust makes a real difference, fam. Stay safe out there.
