Lynnwood Heights School Drama: Parents Throwing Shade Over Teacher Switch-Up 🙄

Lynnwood Heights Junior Public School in Scarborough is serving drama, y'all. The parents are out here protesting because one of the teachers they stan got transferred. Apparently, the TDSB (that's the Toronto District School Board, for all you uncultured swines) does this thing every year where they shuffle teachers around to make sure class sizes are, like, "provincially compliant" or whatever. But the parents are not vibing with it.

The parents are saying they're feeling ignored, especially since there are no school board trustees around to rep them. They tried hitting up the TDSB Supervisor, but got ghosted. Major L.

“It's like, are we even being heard?," said one parent, probably. “Our kids are gonna be shook by this!”

The main gripe? They're worried about how this transfer is gonna affect their kids, especially the little ones who are still learning English. They're scared the classes are gonna get packed, and that's gonna mess with the extra support the school usually gives, since Lynnwood Heights is part of that model schools program.

The Elementary Teachers of Toronto (ETT) are also chiming in, saying a bunch of teachers got bounced from their schools this year with, like, zero warning. Sketchy, right?

The TDSB's response? Basically, "Yeah, we're reorganizing. It's happening everywhere. But chill, we're still here to support you." But the parents aren't buying it.

Apparently, the province is stepping in to manage the TDSB directly, because of "financial mismanagement" (whatever that means). An educational consultant suggested the parents get their voices heard by reaching out to school officials.
