Yo, check it. La Ronge, Air Ronge, and the Lac La Ronge Indian Band are going through it rn. A massive wildfire—the Pisew fire—went rogue and everyone had to dip. We're talkin' thousands of residents legit fleeing their homes. The fire even jumped at the town's airport, like, no chill.

Imagine getting a text saying "EVACUATE NOW" and you gotta grab your meds, ID, and Fluffy the cat. The drive out was straight outta a movie, fam. Smoke everywhere, and for some, fire on both sides of the road. Scary doesn't even cover it.

Now, a ton of people are stuck in Prince Albert, tryna figure out what's next. Some already lost their homes, which is a major L. The Pisew fire's already torched over 50,000 hectares. Plus, there are mad more fires blazing across the province. Over 10,000 people have been evacuated from their homes this season. Northern village of Denare Beach has experienced significant damage. It's rough out here.

But, it's not all doom and gloom. The community in Prince Albert is stepping up, offering shelter, snacks, and good vibes. Shoutout to the 1,300+ people risking it all, fighting the fires on the front lines.

Peep this: one resident, who's a firefighter, is stressing 'cause he wants to help battle the blaze, but also needs to be there for his fam. Another was shook by how fast everything went down, like one minute chillin', next minute GTFO. The feels are real. Some evacuees are being taken in by towns like Weyburn.

"Evacuation from La Ronge (was the) 'scariest thing I’ve ever done’ according to long time resident" That is the only highway out of La Ronge. It was straight out of a movie, no cap.

The tanker base near La Ronge airport was damaged, but no aircraft were lost.
