The Deets
Okay, fam, so here's the sitch. This youth was just tryna chill, kayaking in Pictou County, Nova Scotia, when they straight-up yeeted themselves into the water. Like, no cap, it's a whole nightmare scenario.
Emergency crews were on it ASAP. We're talking Pictou County fire services, Ground Search and Rescue, Civil Air Search and Rescue – the whole squad. Even had a Department of Natural Resources helicopter and RCMP drones out there, doing the most to find them at Eden Lake.
The search went on for over 24 hours, which is just... brutal. Sadly, an underwater recovery team found the youth's remains. It's a whole tragedy, and my heart goes out to their family and friends, fr fr.
The RCMP is saying it doesn't look like anything sus happened, so no criminality involved. Just a super sad accident. They also shouted out the Pictou County community for all the support they showed during the search. Mad respect for that.
The RCMP sent their condolences to the youth's family, and honestly, we're all sending good vibes their way too. Rest in peace to the fallen kayaker. 🙏
