Okay, so boom. On April 22, 2025, in Skidegate, this dude, Luke Pearson, was walking down Front Street when a vehicle turned him into roadkill. But this wasn't just some accident; the cops are calling it a targeted attack. Like, someone wanted this dude gone, which is sus af.

They already slapped the cuffs on Tyson Young, 32, also from Skidegate, and charged him with murder. But it ain't just the cops on the case; the whole community is rallying. Luke was part of the Juus Kaahlii Clan of the Haida Nation, so this hits deep. The Council of the Haida Nation and the Skidegate Band Council are all in to support the investigation and Luke's fam.
