Okay, so listen up, fam. This is wild. Three workers – Kevin Coumbs, Darien Maduke, and Jesse Chubaty (shoutout to them!) – were straight-up trapped in the Red Chris gold and copper mine in British Columbia. We're talking, like, 1,000 miles north of Vancouver. No cap, this place is in the boonies.

Apparently, there were two major rockfalls that sealed them in. Big yikes. They were down there for over 60 hours, which is a major L. But, W alert! They found a refuge chamber where they had food, water, and air. So, at least they weren't completely starving and suffocating. That's a vibe.

The rescue was a whole production. Drones were scouting the scene, and they brought in a remote-controlled scoop to clear the blockage. We're talking a rockfall that was 20-30 meters long and 7-8 meters high. Like, HUGE. But the rescue team was on it, fr fr.

Newmont Corp., the mine operator, said the rescue was carefully planned. Jagrup Brar, British Columbia’s Mining and Critical Minerals Minister, was super relieved. And the best part? All three workers are in good health and spirits. They got medical and wellness teams checking them out. Massive W for everyone involved. This is what we call a comeback sesh for the ages.
