TL:DR

Okay, so, cap, there was a suspected homicide at some supportive housing in BC. Some dude named Keith Scott (aka Keith Kobzey) passed away. Now everyone's like, "Yo, we need to ban weapons in these places ASAP." Even the cops and the government are low-key agreeing. Big news conference about to drop.

The Real Deal

Aight, listen up, fam. Straight up, there was a whole situation at the Waterview supportive housing in Victoria. On April 26th, after a fire was put out, they found a man dead. Turns out it was this guy Keith Scott, but some people knew him as Keith Kobzey. So sus, right?

Now, the B.C. Coalition for Safe and Sustainable Supportive Housing is saying this is the last straw. They're straight-up calling for a ban on weapons in all supportive housing projects in BC. Like, no knives, no bats, no nothin'. Zero tolerance, period.

Apparently, Keith wasn't even living at that specific spot where he was found. His girlfriend spilled the tea, saying that wasn't his crib. So, how he ended up there? That's what the police are trying to figure out, fr.

Victoria Police Chief Del Manak is on board with the ban. He thinks it's just common sense. Julian Daly, who runs Our Place Society, is also backing the idea. Even B.C. Housing Minister Ravi Kahlon said it was a tragic situation and the government is gonna work on making these places safer. They already tweaked the Residential Tenancy Act last year to try and fix some stuff.

There's gonna be a whole news conference on Thursday where people from different organizations are gonna talk about this ban. Should be interesting, no cap.
