Apparently, ever since Trump came back into the picture, the numbers have been skyrocketing.

Why tho? Well, according to these doctors, it's 'cause they're not vibin' with the whole political atmosphere down here. They're throwin' shade at policies, the general vibe, and everything in between. They're stressed about the violence, the healthcare policies, and, like, the whole direction the US is headin'.

For example, back in 2025

• The number of American doctors creating accounts on physiciansapply.ca went up by over 750% in just seven months compared to last year.
• CanAm Physician Recruiting saw a 65% increase in American doctors looking for Canadian jobs.
• The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario registered 116 U.S.-trained doctors in the first quarter, a 50% increase over the past two quarters.
• British Columbia saw a surge in licensing applications from U.S.-trained doctors after Election Day, licensing 28 doctors in the fiscal year that ended in February. Tripling the total of the prior year.

Canada's not exactly mad about it, either. Some provinces are even out here recruiting American doctors, flexin' on the whole "zero political interference" thing. Manitoba is sending out recruting campaigns targeting American doctors, promoting "zero political interference in physician patient relationship."

Some doctors who've already made the move are saying it's a total W. They're talkin' about better work-life balance, a less stressful environment, and feeling more respected. Sounds like a major glow-up, TBH.
