The Deets
Alright, fam, listen up. Early morning in Richmond, and things got weird, quick. Apparently, this dude was going through it and dialed 9-1-1, all distressed and whatnot. Cops traced the call to some random farm area. When the RCMP rolled up with the Lower Mainland Integrated Police Dog Service (IPDS), things escalated faster than your TikTok FYP.
This dude, straight up, allegedly pulls out an airgun and starts blasting. Then, as if that wasn't wild enough, he STABBED THE POLICE DOG. Like, multiple times. Doggo got puncture wounds and had to be rushed to the vet for emergency care. Thankfully, they say the dog's stable and should be good to go, but still, major L for that dude.
The Lower Mainland Integrated Emergency Response Team (IERT) was called in, cuz things were getting too hot to handle. They managed to contain the situation and get the dude into custody without anyone else getting hurt, which is a W. Now, the Richmond RCMP Serious Crimes Unit is all over this, trying to figure out what made this guy go full-on rage mode. Cops are saying it was a one-off thing and the public is safe, so at least there's that.
