Alright, so here's the sitch. A cougar was spotted straight vibin' near Glenlyon Norfolk School around 8 a.m. on Bank Street. The school was like, "Heads up, fam! Stay safe!" and they called the B.C. Conservation Officers Service ASAP.

But wait, there's more! Turns out, there have been other cougar sightings in Saanich, like near Lambrick Park Secondary School and Braefoot Elementary School. Plus, Central Saanich and Sidney are also part of this cougar drama. It's like a whole cougar convention out here!

And now for the sad part: In Port McNeill, a doggo got attacked by a cougar around 4 a.m. Poor pup got clapped, but managed to escape and is now with the vet. Sending good vibes for a speedy recovery!

The Conservation Officer Service is out here telling everyone to be extra careful. They estimate there are like, 5,000 cougars in B.C., with a huge squad of them hangin' out on Vancouver Island.

So, what do you do if you see one of these wild cats? The Ministry of Environment says to stay chill, keep your eyes on the cougar, and back away slowly. If they start acting sus, make yourself look big and get loud!
