Now the RCMP is investigating this whole sus situation. Leaders from the US, France, UK, Germany, Japan, and Italy, plus some extra guests, were all there, so security was tight.

The Real Deal

Okay, listen up, 'cause this is kinda wild. Some civilian plane was straight-up violating the restricted airspace over Kananaskis, Alberta. Like, hello? G7 summit was happening, with all the VIPs, including leaders from the US, France, the UK, Germany, Japan, and Italy, chilling and solving world problems. So obvs, security was on 💯.

Enter the CF-18s – Canada's fighter jets. They got the call and were like, "Aight, we gotta handle this." They tried to hit up the pilot on the radio, but no dice. So, they had to pull out the big guns... or, well, the big flares. They shot off some "final warning measures" – aka flares – to be like, "Yo, land this thing, ASAP!"

And guess what? It worked! The plane landed safe and sound. Now, the RCMP and other partners are on the case, tryna figure out where this plane came from, where it was going, and why the pilot thought they could just waltz into a G7 summit uninvited. No details on landing location or origins of the private airplane have been released as of this time. The airspace over Calgary and Kananaskis had temporary restrictions (NOTAMs) in place since Saturday morning until noon Tuesday. Let's just say that pilot might be catching some charges, for real.
