CAF to the Rescue! Wildfires in Ontario are Wildin' Out 🔥✈️

Okay, fam, listen up. Northwestern Ontario is dealing with some major heat – literally. Wildfires are spreading faster than gossip in the group chat, and it's a whole mess. The Red Lake 12 wildfire, near Deer Lake First Nation, is totally out of control and is over 1,500 square kilometers – that’s HUGE. It's creeping towards Sandy Lake First Nation, so they're doing a phase one evac ASAP, using planes and boats just in case.

The Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) are stepping in to lend a hand with the evacuations. The government said they’re ready to pull out all the stops to keep everyone safe, which is a W. Fire rangers are out there too, battling the flames and trying to protect buildings. But the weather isn't vibing, no rain in sight, which is not ideal.

On top of all this, the smoke from the fires is making the air quality sus. Environment Canada issued air quality alerts, warning everyone that the air is trash and visibility is lowkey trash.

Meanwhile, Saskatchewan and Manitoba are also feeling the heat (literally), declaring states of emergency. Over 30,000 people have been displaced, and, the RCMP laid arson charges in two separate fire incidents in Saskatchewan.
